Do you love working with kids?
New Life Beginnings – Support this organization that houses and cares for homeless pregnant young mothers and their children by leading a bible study, hosting a picnic, party or gathering, or taking on a painting or repair project in their building.
Precious Lamb Preschool – Serve young children and their families who suffer from crisis through nurture, education and support. Volunteer in the classroom by signing or reading with the children, or on the playground by pushing children on the swings, or playing hide and seek. You can also help with crafts, special events or prepare the quarterly newsletter.

Do you love working with the homeless?
Long Beach Rescue Mission – Minister to the least, the last and the lost in our city. There are numerous volunteer opportunities throughout the year from sorting clothing, to painting, to cleaning, to landscaping, to serving in the kitchen and at the week night Chapel services
Christian Outreach in Action – Serve the homeless in our city by volunteering at COA. Opportunities include preparing dinners, or breakfasts for a crowd of 180 on a monthly basis, sorting clothes, building repairs and painting, providing music or a teaching for an evening chapel service.
Lydia House – This shelter is a part of the Long Beach Rescue Mission serving women and children who through a variety of life’s circumstances have been left homeless. Lydia House gives the women a fresh start by providing them with a family like structure while helping them to become independent and self supporting. Volunteer by providing a holiday party, school uniforms and supplies, tutoring, or serving at a craft day.

Habitat for Humanity – Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to making home ownership possible for low income working families. Volunteers are the heart of this organization as they lend a hand to build and renovate homes with them each year.

Convalescent Care – Get to know some of the most fascinating people in the world, our senior neighbors by spending time with them making crafts, playing games, visiting, hosting holiday gatherings. They gladly welcome your visit. For more information please contact Trudy Braden.
