Blessed

Pastor Jack continues our The Way of Jesus series with "Blessed"

Jesus redefines what it means to be blessed in the Beatitudes, using a congratulatory term to describe people in difficult circumstances. Rather than commands or virtues to achieve, these declarations announce that God's kingdom has arrived for those who recognize their need. The truly blessed aren't the wealthy or powerful, but those who are poor in spirit, mourning, meek, and persecuted. Jesus steps into our brokenness with present blessing and future hope. We live in the tension between the now and not yet of God's kingdom, experiencing glimpses of heaven while awaiting full restoration.
