The Time Has Come

Pastor Jack introduces our new series The Way of Jesus with "The Time Has Come"

Jesus' central message wasn't primarily about social justice or love, but the announcement of the Kingdom of God. When Jesus said 'repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near,' He was inviting people to reconsider their life's direction because God's rule and authority had arrived through Him. The Kingdom represents God's present active reign on earth, bringing justice, love, healing, and restoration. Many have reduced the gospel to a simple prayer for heaven, but Jesus calls us to apprenticeship—learning His ways and being transformed by Kingdom reality. Following Jesus as King requires reorganizing our lives, priorities, and goals, moving from trying to control our own little kingdoms to submitting to God's rule and experiencing the peace and wholeness He offers.
